Hi all

When looking for a GIS specialist, I mean exactly that as opposed to a Product or Technology Specialist.

I expect a grounded GIS specialist to handle any GIS platform on the basis of principles and the required output.

It has to be wrong to assume an exposure to open source or other GIS technologies make you less of a GIS specialist.

So many proprietary software specific questions? Why? Rather ask
around concepts, not functions in specific software packages - those
can be learned.

This is OSGeo right? OS being relevant at some point?
