[OSGeo Africa] costume Qgis standalone application

Hi, I want to create a stand alone qgis application that is developed using
the QGIS libraries. But this is turning out to be a bigger challenge than I
thought (my programming skills isn't great).

Is there anyone in SA that have done this before? if so please email me.
Maybe we can employ your services.

The aim is to create a very simple interface that can be used by someone
that have never used a gis application.
