Good evening all,
Has anyone tried installing the OpenGeo Suite on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty? After much fiddling and I have finally set up a Mac-Ubuntu dual boot with shared data folders on my MacBook Pro 13-inch flash hard drive. QGIS works beautifully on Ubuntu but now I also need PostGIS 2.1/ Postgres 9.3 (which comes bundled in OpenGeo Suite 4.1) like I have on my Mac side. I read on http://suite.opengeo.org that the suite is only supported on Lucid Lynx and Precise Pangolin and that newer Ubuntu versions are not supported. Before I get tangled up in dependency conflicts can anyone tell me if they have tried and succeeded with this? If so, are there any important caveats?
For those with Macs who want dual boot, Trusty Tahr's Grub bootloader does away with the need for rEFIt, which is a nice improvement.
Thank you,
Charles Rethman
