[OSGeo Africa] "crop ovals"

Hi All

I have consulted my friendly botanist Dr Phil, and these ovals are
indicative of dryland wheat farming in the Sandveld (i.e. wheat farming at
the extreme limit of production). The aim is to minimise wind-blown sand,
by retaining areas of natural veg between strips of wheat. Suppose it could
also be rye.

So, they are due to aliens . edible ones.

Regards

Kate
