You should also contact Dave le Maitre at CSIR, Stellenbosch. He has done a lot of work on alien tree species, their spread, and also monitoring.

Have you tried contacting the Working for Water project? I know that Acacia mearnsii is one of the trees they target and they might have maps of its distribution.

I am looking for Vegetation data for species Acacia mearnsii in the Eden District Municipality in Western Cape. I am busy with my research with topic " Monitoring the spread of Acacia Mearmsii in the Woodyfield farm using Geo-spatial data and GIS."
