Alors que nous entamons cette nouvelle année, nous souhaitons vous adresser nos meilleurs vœux pour 2025. Que cette année soit placée sous le signe du partage, de l’innovation et de la collaboration au sein de notre communauté open-source, où chacun contribue à façonner un avenir numérique plus libre et inclusif. Ensemble, continuons à faire grandir OSGEO Belgium et à renforcer les liens entre passionnés de géomatique et de technologies ouvertes !

2025 marque une étape importante : les 10 ans d’OSGEO Belgium.
Grâce à vous, cette aventure continue de grandir et de s’épanouir au sein de la communauté open-source. Avec des projets passionnants à venir, nous souhaitons développer des collaborations avec la communauté R de Belgique, élargir les initiatives autour de QGIS (belge, bien sûr) et renforcer notre partenariat avec OpenStreetMap Belgique. Nous souhaitons également établir des échanges réguliers avec les universités et leurs étudiants utilisant nos outils, sans oublier les ponts déjà amorcés avec les chapitres locaux voisins.

Célébrons ensemble ce début d'année !
Nous vous invitons chaleureusement à notre Drink de Nouvel An, qui se tiendra le 16 janvier dès 18h30 au Cercle des Voyageurs à Bruxelles (voir lieu sur OSM).

Cette soirée sera l’occasion de partager un moment convivial et de discuter des projets à venir, notamment l’organisation du prochain FOSS4G Belgique, que nous espérons pour le second semestre 2025.

Together, let’s continue to grow OSGEO Belgium and strengthen the bonds between geomatics enthusiasts and open technologies!

2025 marks a major milestone: the 10th anniversary of OSGEO Belgium.
Thanks to you, this adventure continues to grow and thrive within the open-source community. With exciting projects on the horizon, we aim to foster collaborations with the R community in Belgium, expand initiatives around QGIS (Belgian, of course), and strengthen our partnership with OpenStreetMap Belgium. We also want to establish regular exchanges with universities and their students using tools from our communities, while building on the connections already started with neighboring local chapters.

Let’s celebrate the start of this special year together!
We warmly invite you to our New Year’s Drink, which will take place on January 16th at 6:30 PM at the Cercle des Voyageurs in Brussels (view location on OSM).

This evening will be an opportunity to share a convivial moment and discuss upcoming projects, particularly the organization of the next FOSS4G Belgium, which we are planning for the second half of 2025.

Nu we aan dit nieuwe jaar beginnen, willen we u onze beste wensen voor 2025 sturen. Dat het een jaar mag zijn van delen, innovatie en samenwerking binnen onze open-source gemeenschap, waarin iedereen bijdraagt aan een vrijere en inclusievere digitale toekomst. Samen blijven we OSGEO Belgium laten groeien en versterken we de banden tussen liefhebbers van geomatica en open technologieën!

2025 is een belangrijk jaar: het 10-jarig jubileum van OSGEO Belgium.
Dankzij u blijft dit avontuur groeien en bloeien binnen de open-source gemeenschap. Met spannende projecten in het vooruitzicht willen we de samenwerking met de R-gemeenschap in België versterken, initiatieven rond QGIS (Belgisch, natuurlijk) uitbreiden en onze samenwerking met OpenStreetMap België verdiepen. Daarnaast willen we regelmatige uitwisselingen opzetten met universiteiten en hun studenten die onze tools gebruiken, en voortbouwen op de connecties die we al hebben met naburige lokale chapters.

Laten we samen de start van dit bijzondere jaar vieren!
We nodigen u van harte uit voor onze Nieuwjaarsdrink, die plaatsvindt op 16 januari om 18:30 uur in het Cercle des Voyageurs in Brussel (bekijk locatie op OSM).

Deze avond biedt de gelegenheid om in een gezellige sfeer ideeën uit te wisselen en te praten over de komende projecten, met name de organisatie van de volgende FOSS4G Belgium, die we plannen in de tweede helft van 2025.
