Frank,

                 Sorry I could not participate in the IRC yesterday morning. It 
was way too early at 7 AM. Yingqi Tang participated in the call from our end. I 
hear that the different teams plan to use ArcSDE. I just wanted to let the 
teams know that ArcSDE 9.3.1  support for  PostgreSQL 8.3.0  is only available 
on Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES 4.0 Update 2 (32-bit). Please keep that this 
in mind for the purpose of planning the operating system for the database 
machine. We plan to add support for Red Hat Linux 5 in our 9.4 release.
