Folks,

Gary Sherman passed this link on to me.   It is an interesting, if
rather long, read about why Red Hat has decided not to pursue an
independent foundation for Fedora.

It seems to touch on a variety of issues that are similar for us, but
yet to be quite a different situation.   I don't quite buy into a few of
the things they say (like all in-kind contributions needing to be accounted
for, or needing to have all copyright holders present to have standing).
