Tyler,

I guess it can seem that way but at times it seems like we are just crawling
along from my point of view. Forming a committee it basically just the first
(well perhaps the second after informal organization in the wiki) step in
getting a project going. Just this took six or seven weeks. We had
contemplated forming the committee the week earlier, but thought it was a
good idea to line up a chair and clarify the mandate a bit before doing so.

Note, I think it is important that we not rely on board members to chair
all the committees.

Well, within the board we have certainly been discussing what our focus ought
to be. What do we need to accomplish to build the organization and be
credible. Once we identify these things, we will hopefully have an idea where
to "try harder", and direct the "directable" resources such as they are. But
we are also a volunteer organization, and the priorities of the board
shouldn't be allowed to stop folks from pursuing an area of interest that
falls within the boards purvue.

I would say the education committee is an important part of our strategy,
though it isn't where I would place "special focus" at this time. But if we
have interested people willing to run with it, then by all means.

I'm interested in suggestions on how to do that. Though, I'm not even sure
that I would consider this the top priority or focus.

Best regards,
