Just a couple FYIs...

FINANCE
1. Submitted an invoice to Google for Summer of Code mentorships (10x$500), plus expenses for two mentors who attended the mentorship summit (2x$1000).
2. It's that time of year for several sponsors to renew, so I'm working on a small batch of invoices.  Frank, we should likely review GDAL sponsors too.
3. I'm going to start working also on reconciling our books from last quarter and then push them over to accountant support to help us get started on the "Form 990" tax filing for nonprofits.
4. Paid what is basically $10k in seed funding to GITA to cover initial promotion/travel expenses.

MARKETING / PROMOTION
1. Working on several potential events or streams at events where OSGeo can make a solid impact.  Stay tuned.

WEBSITE / MISC
1. Beta test transition to new servers underway, including upgrading of
Drupal and, soon, transition to our new site theme.

2. I've completed setting a website for private board-level documents, the main application there is for our contact relationship management and what I use for tracking our voting members and their contact info.  Anyone want to help test it out and feel their way around in it?  I have some updates to make still, and will ultimately link it to our LDAP system but haven't yet, so I just need to manually create your account.

JOURNAL
1. Complete recently vol 6. with a few good articles.
2. Vol 7 annual report 2009 pretty much completed - will push out this week.  ** Board reports welcome up to the very day I push it out! **
3. Vol 8 will be FOSS4G 2009 academic proceedings.  Deadlines for submitting to vol 8 are already closed, so it's in the queue for publication by year-end.

Still looking for any directors who might want to help quarterback with me on addressing our main target constituents: business, academia, government, NGO and standards.  As well, any of the above topics are available to partner with me on, even if you only want to commit to helping brainstorm with me a couple times a month - one on one - or just for a few months, it would be a great support for collective labours going forward.

Hope you're all well,
Tyler
