Taken out of context, I see how this could be misinterpreted.  I
didn't mean to say that participants should never have to pay for a
sprint.  I know they cost money, and that money has to be raised
somehow.

The part that doesn't make sense to me is that the money developers
pay to participate in a sprint would go to support the foundation.
Again, this seems backwards to me.  I think that to the extent
possible, the foundation should be supporting developers, not the
other way around.

I think it would be great if the foundation could generate enough
reserves to offset the costs of things like development sprints.  This
is the opposite of saying that sprints should generate enough revenue
to pay for foundation expenses.
