I don't know too much about the above, but possibly
another possible mechanism is to use a Google Voice
phone number. It can forward to multiple phones (likely
only in the USA) and also offers services to record and
transcribe voice mail and offers web access to these.
If we wanted this we would likely be best off establishing
an OSGeo Google/Gmail account as the identity and then
we can setup appropriate forwarding and such. I would be
happy to do so and to be the forwarding phone number for
the time being.
We would presumably keep the password for this Google
identity in the usual sys admin secrets file in case I fall
off the earth.
