[Board] Fwd: [Foss4g2012] Meeting summary of FOSS4G 2012 meeting (3rd, July)

How about leaving Cameron a chance to finish the great job he has done
opening a communication channel with them and getting some answers from
them? Based on the IRC logs, we should hear a formal word from them
anytime now. We've been waiting for several months, what's another
couple of days?

Cameron: can you please comment on this? When do you expect to be in
touch with them again?

My feeling based on what I read is that they want to cancel, and I think
it will be better perceived if we announce the cancellation in
collaboration with (or after getting formal word from) the Beijing
people than if we just unilaterally do it while they are still trying to
put something together.

OTOH, if they decide to hold the event anyway, well, errr... I will have
huge doubts as well.

My 0.02$

Daniel
