[Board] request for letter of support for Jan Hartmann (UvA)

I agree with Maxi. I see no reason not to support this letter.  And I agree
with Bart, we would support any group advancing open source geospatial, even
if they were competing.

Guys, I believe Jeff will have some input to this topic,

but in the past, there were different points of views of European board
members and america-based board members.

And I would like to read the Jeff's and Michael's opinion to this, because I
feel, they have more fine sense for those kinds of supporting letters then
we in Europe have
