[Board] Responding to emails

Ok thanks Cameron.

In general, the OSGeo community has never been so active; I've never
seen so many challenging topics on Board agenda meetings, brought by so
many strong leaders of our community, to the Board for discussion. It
is sure hard to stay on top of things, I (as all Board members) try my
hardest to stay on top of things. As I refer to it now to my own
family: "for the love of the game".

I imagine you'll notice (if you choose and are elected to the Board
again) a change in the topics brought to the Board. This is a strong,
confident, mature community, and part of our maturity as a foundation is
this next stage of challenging topics: standards, certification, bylaws,
policies, bids, relationships, ecosystems, foundations....I can go on.

Like you, I am sometimes frustrated by the 'process' (if I was a
dictator, the simple Diversity Statement I proposed to the Board, well I
would have logged into osgeo.org and added a new content page months
ago). I realize I cannot do that, so we must continue down the process
for things to happen (and often it is silence).

But don't get me wrong, my passion is served best on the Board, as the
President, and I devote much of my life to this, happily. :)

Anyway, I'm rambling.

I am sorry for, letting my passion, as usual, creep into my responses.
We both mean well. Here's to Open Geospatial. (clang of drinking mugs)

Good night all.
