I will clarify that qualifying events (actually thinking foss4g and local
code sprints) would be ones that any event profit is returned to OSGeo. So
sadly events like the upcoming gvSig conference would not qualify. I am
trying to think of a nice way to say that...
I agree with Jeff that we should give also space to those companies that

More importantly, but off topic for this discussion, is the idea of
acknowledging organizations that contribute resources and staff directly to
open source projects. I have some thoughts about that - but for another
email thread.

I had a note about donations, I can make it more explicit it my table. If
it really makes people happy we can offer "logo listed" as a perk for
donations of $500.
