Greetings from Survey of Pakistan (http://www.surveyofpakistan.gov.pk/),the National Mapping Organization of the country.
We have setup a local chapter for Pakistan on wiki (https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Pakistan)

Our mission is :
   
   -  To promote the use, development and exchange of Open Source Geo-spatial technologies for creating and harvesting location based products and services.
   -  Community building and networking
   -  Organize events to promote Open Source GIS
