Hi Gerald,
I suspect you are underselling the reasons for you attending foss4g? Am
I right in assuming you still the Zoo PSC chair? Would you be helping
promote Zoo and be helping people understand Zoo at FOSS4G?
Based on these assumptions and your answers, I'm changing my vote from
-1 to -0 (non blocking).
My reason for continuing to suggest that sponsorship be refused is that
there doesn't appear to be a strong OSGeo benefit obtained from this
sponsorship. I.e. no citing of a specific talk or workshop or OSGeo
activity.
I'm also considering that we should be favouring projects that have
completed osgeo incubation over those that have not, or supporting
specific activities which help a project complete osgeo incubation.
As a bigger question, I don't think we have a set of goals or guidelines
to help us prioritise sponsorship? It would be good to set something
like this up. (This is beyond the specific scope of this request for funds).
Cheers, Cameron

There is also a workshop and a talk about the MapMint project which is based on the ZOO-Project, MapServer, GDAL and OpenLayers (mainly). All are OSGeo, I may have mentioned the roots tools such as: PROJ4 and GEOS but also PgRouting which can also be used.
