[Board] Is there an age limit to join OSGeo?

Hi,
Forwarding a question from Vicky. I'm not sure if we have faced this
problem before.
This is not a children focused community. It is not something children
can't see, either. There is no explicit violence or sex they shouldn't see.
But what about teenage vandalism? Should we be prepared? Should we
accommodate our community? Maybe they can participate only through mentors?
What if we discuss something not appropriate for children?
And the most important thing : are we going to fall into some legal problem
if we allow them to participate?
I removed some examples Vicky, I hope that's fine. Don't want to link to
personal pages of under aged members 😊

Hi María
We are on the GCI program and there is a task (I did not design that task)
that asks (under aged) students to register on the wiki.
The student registration summary can be found here:
https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Google_Code_In_2018_Foundation_Tasks
I also wonder how much can you trust a 13 - 17 y.o person being able to
edit the OSGeo wiki pages. Is there someone that monitors all the changes
that happen on the wiki?, will they post in the future something
inappropriate just because they can? I dont feel that we have the man power
to monitor if they do travesuras on the wiki.
So I m curios if that can get OSGeo into legal trouble because of their age.
Regards
Vicky
