[California] Annual Meeting in November

In the #GISTribe chat today I asked people what makes them want to attend
meetings like ours.  Feedback included workshops (especially python),
workflow talks, student talks, and social opportunities.  A former student
of mine particularly asked if we could find a way to include more women and
people of color.  I also would like to see that happen.  I think we can
start by making sure we advertise the event to as wide an audience
(including CSU and community college campuses) and we can and to approach
potential speakers who will help diversify our audience.  Diversity in
gender, race, and field of employment is important.

In terms of a QGIS plugin development workshop or talk, I have done it (see
my talk from last year) but I would rather not have to put a workshop
together since my experience is limited.  Who can we ask who's a pro?
