you are used to get conference information via this list, this is its purpose. 
Why now suddenly a commercial magazine mail?

In the course of the FOSS4G-Europe organization we have succeeded to get media 
partners, that is: commercial magazines which will report about us. Which is 
good for us! In turn, we have agreed to a one-time mailing as part of the deal. 
This is why you will receive a small number of emails, one from each magazine, 
via this list. We are asking for your understanding for this mutual deal - just 
two or three mails. Promised.
