Dear Tõnis,
yes, this answered my questions - thanks Marko for the exhaustive
explanation.
I would like just to better clarify the needs for the Academic Track. This
may be co-organised again in partnership with ISPRS (the International
Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) through the Working Group I
chair [1].
We usually look for a few (1-2) people from the Local Organising Team that
can act as Co-chairs (together with me and possibly other 1-2 people being
Co-chairs in previous editions of the Track). The expectations for these
1-2 persons is that they take a coordination/leadership role and equally
share the effort with me and the other Co-chairs: to be fully clear, this
implies committing a substantial amount of time and represents a necessary
condition for me to engage with ISPRS to organise the Track.
Similarly, having other local people involved in research and academia
would be great as they can act as reviewers.
As a final clarification, organising the Academic Track with ISPRS is just
a proposal (which has worked well in the last few years), but there is no
obligation at all to follow this path. So if anyone (including from the
local team) has different ideas, these are also very welcome!
Kind regards,
Marco
