Does anyone have insight on printed material? Or at least a response to
say that someone is looking in to it?

Hey, maybe I missed it, but I didn't see much info on printed materials.
Last year we were advised to bring some, as it gives people a nice
tangible thing to take away, they feel the workshops are more worth it.
We didn't, but wished we had, we just had material as pdfs. It's much
nicer to be able to look at paper while trying things out.
At Where 2.0 they were nice enough to take on the cost of printing
materials. I imagine at this point this is out of budget, but it'd be
awesome if there were funds to help with printing. Even if it's just to
offset some of the costs, as I think it's a big advantage to the
conference to encourage this type of printed materials.
Barring that, I was wondering if anyone could help us set up local
printing? We're giving two workshops and a lab, each is in ~100 person
venues. And our materials will be between 50 and 100 pages each. Call
it 60 pages per workshop, that's (100 * 60 * 3) 18,000 sheets of paper.
Which is probably between 100 and 200 pounds. Half that if it's
double sided. Which is a lot more weight than what we want to carry on
the plane or send from the US to Africa.
thanks,
Chris
