Folks,

This is exactly the sort of erosion of OSGeo's branding that I'm worried
about.   With the RFP issued we have a bit of time to get our committee
house in order.  Do we want to settle on a conference name now?

Perhaps a modest period of active campaigning for our preferred conference
names followed by a committee vote for a name to recommend to the board?
Is there any other aspect to the process we should take into account?

I'd add we also need to prepare for the even more difficult process of
selecting a conference partner/location in a few weeks.  Do we plan to do
that as a general committee?   Are there any thoughts on a process that
should be applied?
