About scale of CEE, take into account that there were last time something
like 10 people from region. So here we need start community

I think there are two different things that are discussed.

1. The name: I can understand both sides. Though as many important
people (important in the way it works in a do-ocracy) would prefer if
the FOSS4G name would not be used, I tend to agree with them. If a new
event ass the CEE one is created, it could easily have another name and
get that one established in the area. Just what happened in Germany with
the FOSSGIS.

2. The scale: The point I also sent an email about some time ago. I also
think that a FOSS4G-NorthAmerica or FOSS4G-Europe would destroy the
global conference. Though this time I agree with Karel, it isn't really
about the name. There should just be regional events with smaller scale.
I don't think if there would be several FOSS4G held in the US the same
year, and people know that there will be several ones (like a
FOSS4G-SiliconValley, a FOSS4G-Mountain and a FOSS4G-NewYork), that it
will destroy the global one. The people just need to make sure it's big
enough to attract people, but small enough to not draw people away from
the global event. I think the CEE one is already at the maximum, but
still within the scale.

To come a conclusion about the original question about the name. I think
1. is more important, hence it should be something else.
