Folks,

For what it's worth I am comfortable with OSGeo providing the financial
backstop role to two or more events as long as they aren't wildly ambitious
in scale.

I do share Jeff's concern that we have limited volunteer resources
at the board and conf. committee level.  For this reason I continue
to feel we should be supporting events with a strong local volunteer
group carrying the heavy work.
