Dear David,
Accepted. I know it was not an easy decision. Thank you very much for your great decision. And if there is any other person who believes you’re in conflict of interest, please disclose yourself.
Conference Committee members,
Now we have 15 voting members since David Bitner and Dave McIlhagga recused themselves from voting.[0]
- Voting will start on 11th Nov. 2015 00:00 UTC and close on 17th Nov. 2015 23:59 UTC.
- Please review full proposals and select your preference city based on the proposal.[1]
- Email your single choice only to me privately through to (shshin at gaia3d.com <http://gaia3d.com/>)
- I’ll inform you which city is selected through this mailing list on 18th Nov. 2015 and will ask approval to the Board.
Cheers,
신상희

However, as the representative of one of the other bidders, the fact that you are a member of the organizing committee of one of the bidders does have the appearance of a conflict of interest. While I completely agree with you that your active participation in comments and questions is invaluable to the entire process, I do think recusing yourself from voting and the private discussions would be the appropriate decision in this circumstance.

Unless there is consensus that I should do otherwise, it is my intention to continue to participate in the deliberation and voting for the 2017 FOSS4G selection. I commit to vote based not on my involvement with one LOC, but to evenly consider all proposals and what I feel is best for FOSS4G and for OSGeo.
