Jon and Calgary LOC,

Thanks for all that you've put into this.  Surely it was a tough
decision.  Best of luck with everything as you've still got work to
do.

You have all already put a lot of work into this; that work takes a
toll.  I can see how the idea of hosting a conference like this would
be the furthest thought from your mind for several years; it certainly
was that way for me after 2014!  It seems likely that the conference
committee could be open to a different rotation and non-competitive
selection but that interest and initiative should start from your end,
we don't want to foist something upon you.
