[OSGeo-Discuss] RE: studies / comparisons of software that serves OGC standards

For reference a lot of open source leaders get hit with a couple 20 
minuet survey requests a month; often from business grad students 
(ranging from phone interview to web forms to fill in).

I personally recommend trying out the software; with a specific need in 
mind; producing a document and publishing it on the osgeo website. You 
will find a few email threads covering what kind of capabilities, 
communities and conformance to look for when evaluating.
