[OSGeo-Discuss] Questions for the Java tribe

OSGeo Java tribe,
We are ever so close to having a bright and shiny OSGeoLive 6.0 release
in time for OSGIS in Nottingham, however our packaging team are
floundering over some simple java packaging questions. (We have C and
linux based experience but are struggling in the java camp, especially
as one of our points of contact is on holidays).
If you have some OSGeo java experience, and can spare a little time,
could you please consider dropping by IRC or email and give us some advice.

It would really help if we could have guidance around simple questions
like: java packaging, classpath questions, java library dependencies,
how to reduce size, tomcat vs resin, use of JAI, integration with GDAL.
We are currently having meetings daily in 2 timeslots over the next
couple of days, but you will likely find one of us in this channel 24
