[OSGeo-Discuss] points of interest database

Dear all,

I am looking for a points of interest database (regardless of format, I 
use database in a loose term here) that is licensed under one of the 
open source/data/creative commons licenses.
I know of course about open street maps and their layer of POIs and the 
one from OGC (http://openpoidb.ogcnetwork.net/).
Is there anything else available out there? :)
