[OSGeo-Discuss] Call for Papers for FOSS4G 2013 Academic Track

This discussion reinforces the notion that every revolutionary idea rises through successes to become ordinary.

MUM which begat OSGeo Conf which begat FOSS4G was truly revolutionary. A bunch of folks who had never met other than over email listservs met face to face finally. All was great. The conf became more and more successful each year, and each year it strove to outdo the previous year, which it did. And now, here we are... discussing important but ordinary stuff that every other conf worries about.

(sorry, this lament doesn't add anything helpful to the discussion. It is but a lament).
