Dear all,

Keeping the spirit of Open Education Week [1], i am pleased to share the presentation of Maria Brovelli on behalf of Geo4All at the United Nations Technical workshop in Brindisi (Italy) to support UN OpenGIS initiative. We will be establishing collaboration with the United Nations for this initiative. Thanks to Maria and Maxi for thier efforts.

Also,in line with the Open Source Geospatial Foundation's renewed vision to "Empower everyone with open source geospatial", we seek to promote our activity not only though the hosting of events such as the FOSS4G, but also proactively engage with the broader Geospatial Community in various forums . In line with this vision, OSGeo has joined Geospatial World Forum (GWF) [2] as Supporting Organization. The conference will take place in Rotterdam 23 - 26, May 2016. As OSGeo we will have the chance to present our multifaceted activities and initiatives we support. We are very excited to have this opportunity showcase OSGeo projects to the participants of GWF. As an inclusive software foundation, we attach great important to be present at events like GWF and enhance our global impact and reach. OSGeo will organise a full day event on May 24 and wishes to initiate a call for presenters promote our projects and core values. Volunteers can contact Dirk Frigne, Vice-President, OSGeo Foundation to help organise the session.

There will be Geo4All presentation on May 24th [3],[4] and i was contacted to deliver this presentation but I wont be able to attend GWF this year because of other commitments . I would like to know if any volunteers from our community are planning to attend GWF 2016. If so, could you please let us know if you will be able to present Geo4All. I can get the latest presentation slides emailed to you. This is an open call for anyone interested to organise Geo4All sessions/presentations in various conferences/events to take leadership and share Geo4All ideas on Open Geospatial Science and open educational principles worldwide.

Best wishes,

Suchith
