??Comunidad gvSIG Uruguay will be organizing a Free and Open Source Geographic Information Technologies and Open Data Conference in Montevideo (our fifth) and we would like to have GeoForAll deeply involved in its organization. We would like to organize the student's prize as it was already proposed. Estimated dates are October 11th and 12th 2018. Please let us know if you need any more information and how to proceed for budget issues.

Thank you,

Asunto: [OSGeo-Discuss] identifying sponsorship opportunities for 2018

Thanks to everyone who provided estimates for the 2018 budget<https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/OSGeo_Budget_2018>, the vast majority of requests were met - but there is still some work to do for planning 2018!

https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/OSGeo_Sponsorship_Opportunities_2018

The above page is a draft, based on what I could quickly find. Please help identify sponsorship opportunities for 2018 for:

* committee initiatives - such as the conference committee travel grant program, or the UN committee capacity building exercises
* events including code sprints and foss4g events
* local chapters
* osgeo projects and community projects

To be listed please update that wiki page with a link to the sponsorship page of the respective initiative, event, local chapter or osgeo project.
