Not sure how you heard about World Commons Week Suchith, but wonderful to see. I'm the organizer of this global event in my separate role from GeoForAll with the International Association for the Study of the Commons (IASC; http://iasc-commons.org). As you say, open source software as a form of digital commons. I've been trying to connect GeoForAll and OSGeo to this international community for many people in IASC (academics, practitioners) are users of geospatial technologies who study or manage forests, water systems or other natural resource "commons". In 2017, Rafael Moreno and I gave a presentation on OSGeo and GeoForAll at the IASC international conference in The Netherlands.


I'd like to draw everyone's attention to what may be a first-time ever done event: 24 hours of noon-time webinars as the world turns, on October 12.

Our very own Cameron Shorter is giving one of the talks, at 12:00 noon, UTC +11.
