[OSGeo-Discuss] Local Chapter Argentina

Hola, mi nombre es Martín Fernando Ortiz, trabajo en una empresa
cooperativa (Cambalache Cooperativa Geográfica) que se dedica la
geoinformática en Buenos Aires, Argentina.  Trabajamos con software libre y
abierto y nos gustaría generar un nuevo capitulo de OSGEO (Capítulo
Argentina). Entendemos que hoy en día, en nuestro territorio existen
algunas comunidades FOSS muy importantes(cómo Geoinquietos) pero también
hay otros actores dispersos que pueden enriquecer a la comunidad OSGEO.
La intensión del capitulo, es potenciar a toda la comunidad geoinformática
de argentina, actores individuaes, estudiantes, instituciones académicas,
empresas, etc. Creemos que el fortalecimiento de ésta comunidad puede
generar nuevos aportes a la comunidad OSGEO.

Hello My name is Martín Fernando Ortiz, I am a member of Cambalache, a
cooperative proyect where we are dedicated to geoinformatics in Buenos
Aires Argentina. We work with FOSS and we want to generate a new chapter of
OSGEO (Argentine chapter). As we understand, nowdays in our territory there
are others big´s communities (like Geoinquietos) but there are also others
actors who participate by themselves.
The intention of the chapter is to empower the entire geoinformatics
community of Argentina, like individual actors, students, academic
institutions, companies, etc... We believe that the strengthening of this
community can generate new contributions to the OSGEO community.
