So, here is the next question -- these logs will accumulate at qgis. 
Will they remain there permanently, or they will also undergo 
spring-cleaning from time-to-time? Minutes of the meetings are 
distillation of what happens, and it is likely the minutes scribe might 
miss out on issues. In any case, folks might want to get a sense of what 
"really happened that night." The best practice would be to link the log 
from the meeting diary entry or the minutes. Hence, the need for a 
permalink to the logs.

yes, it is. And, most browsers do that un-necessary warn thing (when you 
enter/leave https), which might make some wonder what's going on. It is 
just needless.
