Thanks for the clarification Tyler. I feel more comfortable now about
including my stuff. The OSGeo seems like the right place to have it
anyhow.

There are two goals, from my perspective:
1) Provide a resource for teaching the use of free/open source GIS  
software packages.  We all know that the commercial packages don't  
need our help :)  The idea here being to provide help for those  
teachers/professors, etc. that want to teach alternatives yet do not  
have the resources to build curriculum themselves.
2) As part of 1) there is the need to teach basic GIS concepts and  
theory.  This is similar to the commercial packages, where they  
overview the theory before launching into how to use their product.   
We need this so the overall package can be useful to as many people  
as possible.

So, from my angle, I don't see any problem with your material fitting  
in here, in fact believe it is needed.
