[OSGeo-Edu] Getting Started on the Free GIS Book...

There are two goals, from my perspective:
1) Provide a resource for teaching the use of free/open source GIS
software packages. We all know that the commercial packages don't
need our help :) The idea here being to provide help for those
teachers/professors, etc. that want to teach alternatives yet do not
have the resources to build curriculum themselves.
2) As part of 1) there is the need to teach basic GIS concepts and
theory. This is similar to the commercial packages, where they
overview the theory before launching into how to use their product.
We need this so the overall package can be useful to as many people
as possible.

So, from my angle, I don't see any problem with your material fitting
in here, in fact believe it is needed.

Hope that helps,
Tyler
