Tim,

thanks for the advice on sphinx - I will have the students look into it.

meanwhile I am still trying to figure out how to give them commit
permissions,
so far this is what I found :

1. They need to get OSGeo user ID here
http://www.osgeo.org/osgeo_userid
https://www.osgeo.org/cgi-bin/ldap_create_user.py

2. Then I should be able add them according to
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Subversion
using the following form:
https://www.osgeo.org/cgi-bin/auth/ldap_group.py?group=osgeo
But this gives me just a list of current osgeo committers, what am I
missing here?

3. There is a possibility to give commit permissions only for subproject
by creating and submitting Authz rules to Trac, according to svn wiki
I tried to create such file but I am sure I don't have it right
(e.g. where do I define who is in the group NCSU?
also do I need TICKET_CREATE privileges to submit the request? )

[groups]
committers = @@osgeo@@
NCSU = @@osgeo_edu_NCSU@@

[/]
* = r
@committers = rw

[/osgeo/education/UnderDevelopment/NCSU]
* = r
@committers = rw
@NCSU = rw

Thanks a lot for your help,

Helena
