I am sponsoring almost 25 educators to come to FOSS4G and need help in getting late registration fees waived or it might not happen. Who's in charge?

We could certainly look at doing an MOU. Have you seen the kind we've done so far? Also, if there is a way for OSGeo to gain a membership (honarary?) or to join your association, that could be part of it too. Let's talk further offline.

The user also doesn't need to challenge with CC's different acronyms because the designed UI will ask for the required rights/features in plain English. Amir (cc in) will be happy to customise the repository to feedbacks/ suggestions from the OSGeo community.

The ELOGeo system is more sophisticated, allowing for searching by date, author, subjects, etc. I think we as a group should seriously think about doing this. I think their system adds a lot to our collaborative effort and the energy and effort by the Nottingham folks is terrific. They provide publishing guidelines here [3]. Please take a look at this platform and let us know what you think.

I need to talk to Suchith more about this, but I continue to wish that, for example, we could set up a system where educational material in one language might be translated to another language as a derivative work. Or someone could update material for a new release of a particular software.

The first is a Bird's of a Feather meeting that we should definitely have on Wednesday Sept 14th during the 5:30-8:30 timeslot. The second is a possible meeting on Saturday the 17th, that we could as a group use as a "Workbook Content Sprint" or something where we roll up our sleeves and try to move forward collectively on educational or curriculum material.
