Stefan,

I think, it is growing strength of the community that we are having multiple events with focus on research (and we hope this keeps increasing). My humble suggestion is that whoever planning to attend to any of the events, use the opportunity to build up more research collaborations for the OSGeo Education efforts. If we can have a meeting at OGRS 2014, that will be excellent and anyone who wish to take lead for this, very welcome to contact the organisors of OGRS and arrange meeting for ICA-OSGeo labs.

Phillip- as you are attending OGRS 2014, can you take lead for this ? If so, that will be great. Thanks.

Best wishes,

Suchith

Hi all,

thanks for the announcement.

However, I am having a comment and/or a question: So we have now another Foss4g-EU conference with a focus on research - what I understand from the text below. OGRS (3rd conference on the topic) is doing the same, also this year. So, isn't that a bit counter productive to make 2 FOSGIS conferences in Europe with a science focus in the same year? I.e. it would be better join efforts.

my 2 cents (from South America, though)
stefan
