[ELGIS] GDAL Dependency Problem

I'm trying to update the elgis files on my Centos 5.5 machine, but I've 
run into a sysadmin issue I don't know how to resolve. Here's the error 
message:

--> Processing Dependency: libxerces-c.so.27()(64bit) for package: gdal
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
gdal-1.8.0-4.el5.elgis.x86_64 from installed has depsolving problems
   --> Missing Dependency: libxerces-c.so.27()(64bit) is needed by 
package gdal-1.8.0-4.el5.elgis.x86_64 (installed)
Error: Missing Dependency: libxerces-c.so.27()(64bit) is needed by 
package gdal-1.8.0-4.el5.elgis.x86_64 (installed)

I know I've got to find a package with this xerces .27 library in it, 
but how do I specify the package name? I've tried

yum upgrade xerces

and it said there was no matching package. I also went to the xerces 
site, but they don't have RPMs. Can someone tell me what I need to do to 
fix this?
