[ELGIS] RFC: Renaming libspatialite.so, version 3, to libspatialite3.so

I was thinking about renaming the libspatialite shared lib, version 
3.0.0, in the RPM package, so that we could install them together with 
the current 2.4 packages.
Any comments about this?
Does anybody know if I can change the name of the so file through 
configure. Or do I have to patch the package?
