Reassuming:
pg_connect works, if php-mapserver is not enabled.
it fails (maybe in some way related to SSL) if php-mapserevr is enabled.
It happens both, with mapserver packages from ELGIS and with rebuild rpm
packages.
Does anyody have some idea how to proceed?
