[ELGIS] GDAL and MrSID

If this is the wrong place to ask this question, please point me toward
the correct source of information. The question is, Does GDAL have MrSID
capability or not?

The reason for my confusion is on one OSGEO.ORG website it say MrSID is
supported and on another OSGEO.ORG website it seems it isn't supported.
