Dear list,
Sorry for crossposting from the discuss-list.
As some of you know, Cameron took the initiative to write an open letter
to the Australian Government to promote the use of open source software
(to help implementing Open Government) [2]
A lot of OSGeo charter members contributed to the document.
I think this is an important signal to the government, and maybe
something we can refer to in Europe also, so I would like to sign the
document in name of the European community, and ask your support for that.
Cameron want's to send the letter March 30 (Australian time), so it is a
bit short date, so I propose the following procedure:
If you still have the time to read (15 min) the document[1] and agree,
please support me with +1. If there are reasons not to sign, please
react with a -1 and explain why.
If I don't receive a -1 before midnight CET march 28, I will sign the
document in name of OSGeo Europe. Otherwise, I'll sign it in my own name.
Thanks in advance for the support.
Dirk
