I've just added a patch to ticket 104 with a low-impact fix for the defect.
Just sending a note here as instructed.

As stated on the ticket, I'd like to see the provider updated to use true
SQL parameterization, but that major of a change seemed like a lot to take
on for my first foray into the code stream.
