Hi,
FDO 3.2 needs MySql 5.0.22. Don't use higher releases!

Jason,
Thanks for the reply. I 'found' MySQL dlls that were dated Mar/Apr 2006
(not sure what version) and that allowed me to connect to MySQL, but I
wasn't able to do anything beyond testing the connection in Studio. So
I assumed that I was not using the correct dlls, and thought I had read
somewhere that only FDO 3.2 is compatible with MGOS 1.1. And the only
instruction I found for installing FDO 3.2 was the build documentation,
which to be honest, is a little intimidating to me.
Before I installed the MySQL dll mentioned above, I did not see a list
of Feature Providers in Studio - so I assumed it was up to me to install
them.

Hi Kevin,
I haven't tried to connect to MySQL from MapGuide yet, not sure what
MySQL versions are supported.
Have you installed the MySQL dlls on your MapGuide server machine? I
don't think that we are distributing these with MapGuide at this point
(could be wrong).

Hello,
I'm a new user to MGOS 1.1 (Win2000). Can someone confirm that if I
want to be able to connect to MySQL 5, I must build FDO open source
manually? There is no pre-compiled install file or anything like that
available at this time? I have the build instructions for Windows, but
before I tackle this I wanted to make sure there wasn't an 'easier' way.
Thanks,
Kevin
