Hello Greg,
Im using Debian Lenny Stable too and ..
Someones of my environments variables are:
CC=gcc-4.1
CXX=g++-4.1
FDO=/OpenSource_FDO/Fdo
FDOGDAL=/OpenSource_FDO/Thirdparty/gdal
FDOMYSQL=/OpenSource_FDO/Thirdparty/mysql/rhlinux
FDOODBC=/usr
FDOTHIRDPARTY=/OpenSource_FDO/Thirdparty
FDOUTILITIES=/OpenSource_FDO/Utilities
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=:/usr/local/fdo-3.4.0/lib:/OpenSource_FDO/Thirdparty/ESRI/ArcSDEClient91/Linux/lib
PYTHON_INCLUDE_PATH=/usr/include/python2.4
PYTHON_LIB_PATH=/usr/lib/python2.4
BUT WHAT YOU MEAN? When Just define a valid value for FDOGDAL ??
My variable environment is set: FDOGDAL=/OpenSource_FDO/Thirdparty/gdal
However .. my endless lines after the: /OpenSource_FDO/.build_thirdparty.sh
are ..
make[1]: se sale del directorio `/OpenSource_FDO/Thirdparty/gdal/apps'
make[1]: se ingresa al directorio `/OpenSource_FDO/Thirdparty'
make[1]: *** No hay ninguna regla para construir el objetivo
`apache/xml-xalan/c/lib/libxalan-c.so.17.0', necesario para `all-am'. Alto.
make[1]: se sale del directorio `/OpenSource_FDO/Thirdparty'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
Can you give another advice or another tip for this issue..?
Thanks!

Yes. Just define a valid value for FDOGDAL and the build should work.
Typically, the FDOGDAL variable is pointed to .../fdo/trunk/Thirdparty/gdal
but you can point it to whatever copy of the GDAL sdk you want to use.
